South Kerry 0-7 Feale Rangers 0-5

South Kerry defended their title against Feale Rangers on October 17,1982. It turned out to be a low scoring game given the atrocious conditions. Huge amounts of rainfall had fallen in the previous 24 hours and it was remarkable the pitch was able to absorb it.

Aided by a stiff breeze South Kerry led to 5 points to one at half-time powered by John Egan at corner forward. South Kerry displayed great resolve in the second half when under huge pressure. Feale Rangers made a bold bid for victory but missed many chances in that 2nd half. They levelled at 0-5 points each but Ger O’Driscoll and Michael A. O’Connell got the match winning points for South Kerry. The Champions proved themselves worthy of the mantle and retained their title.
